Hello leaders of Ross-shire,
The initial planning stages of our Commonwealth Games 2014 has taken place and we are underway. Please find attached a poster (in our "useful documents and forms" section, to "save the date". We would normally have the Brownie Mini Olympics each year but this year as it is such a special birthday year for Brownies it was decided that they would share and develop the Mini Olympics into a County - wide, All Section event - yes you read correctly we aim to have an all section event which will include:
Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Leaders, Trefoil Guild
We have lots of exciting things planned and would love to hear from you if you would like to be involved in assisting us with the planning, attending on the day both to take part and be a cheerleader, or why not come along just to soak up the ambiance.
As this is a large scale event and many of you will be breaking up for the summer, we aim to get forms out to you on the 12th August, one week prior to the schools going back. We have noted a return date of 5th September for all forms and unit cheques for £1.00 per person to be in by, with a FINAL closing date of 12th September. We have noted the closing date as FINAL as we need to ensure that we have your cheques in to allow us to order enough medals for each person attending as everyone will receive a medal.
Then the Games will take place on 20th September, we would love you to bring along your Unit, District flags to line the procession and would like each unit to make a Baton to take part in the procession and add to the pomp and ceremony of the event. Remember it isn't unit against unit on this occasion it is District against District, so get practising, tone up those cheering voices and get ready for a fun day out with all of the girls and ladies of Ross-shire.
